For a direct booking, contact us via the website form, SMS or WhatsApp. We will send you a rental agreement to sign and return along with a 30% deposit, preferably by bank transfer or by cheque.
During high season (winter and summer), rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible depending on calendar availability — feel free to contact us to discuss. Off-season weekend rentals are available.
Yes, this is possible in spring or autumn, with a 2-night minimum. Not during high season (winter and summer), when rentals run Saturday to Saturday.

Chalet Jostedalen is a 240 m² triplex with 6 enclosed bedrooms (2 of which are under sloped roofs). It comfortably accommodates groups of 12 to 14 people (adults and children). It also has 2 baby cots (travel cots).

Yes, the chalet is available all year round. In winter, you can enjoy the Sybelles ski area just 200 m away. In summer, the mountains offer numerous hiking and outdoor activity options.
High season weeks are offered first to our direct guests. Only remaining weeks are listed on Airbnb. Booking directly gives you access to a wider choice of dates.
We recommend booking 8 to 14 months in advance for school holidays in winter (Christmas, February) and summer (July–August). Contact us as soon as your dates are confirmed.

Rates & Payment
The rate includes the rental price (varies by season) and cleaning fees. The tourist tax (~€1/adult/night) is payable online before your arrival via a secure payment link. Linen is optional.
A 30% deposit is required upon signing the contract (preferably by bank transfer or cheque). The balance is due 1 month before your arrival as per the rental agreement terms. Bank details are provided at the end of the contract.
Yes, a €1,000 security deposit is required. It must be paid separately from the balance by bank transfer or cheque before your arrival.
The security deposit is returned by bank transfer after your departure and inspection of the chalet’s condition.
Full refund if cancelled 60 days before your arrival.
No, we do not offer special rates for ski passes in the Sybelles area. You can purchase them directly from the resort or online on the Sybelles website.
Sheets, Towels & Linen
The chalet is rented without sheets or towels. You can bring your own or rent linen kits (sheets + towels) on site. Please let us know in advance if you would like this option.
Yes, the chalet is equipped with single duvets.
There are 2 travel cots with mattresses included in the rental. However, sheets and duvets for baby cots are not provided. We recommend bringing your own linen for little ones.
Yes, we offer the “beds made on arrival” option. Specify this when making your booking.

Arrival & Departure
Check-in is from 5 pm and check-out is before 10 am.
Someone will be available to welcome you on site or by phone. Their contact details will be provided before your arrival. You will also receive all access instructions (GPS address, entry code, WiFi, etc.).
Chalet Jostedalen is located at the top of Saint-Sorlin d’Arves, at the place called Pierre Aiguë, in the heart of the Sybelles ski area. A GPS link will be sent before your arrival to facilitate access.
The chalet should be left in a reasonably clean state: dishes done, bins emptied, duvets folded. A professional clean is carried out after each stay.
Insurance & Liability
Yes, the chalet is insured by the owner. However, each tenant must have their own personal liability insurance (included in most home insurance policies).

Yes, the chalet has a private spa/jacuzzi. Safety rules must be followed: never leave children unsupervised, do not stay more than 20 minutes if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C, and always replace the spa cover after each use.

Parking
You can park one car in the garage and one or two cars in front of the chalet. It is important to keep the area in front of the chalet clear for traffic. For additional vehicles, spaces are available further up in the village or before the large bend before the chalet.
Yes, the chalet has a 22 kW charging station. It is available to guests during off-peak hours.
House Rules
No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the chalet, even with windows open.
Heating is underfloor. We ask that you do not leave windows and doors open for extended periods, as extreme cold cools the chalet quickly and underfloor heating has significant inertia to regain the initial temperature.
For safety reasons, balcony access is not permitted.
Never leave children unsupervised in the spa. Do not stay more than 20 minutes if the temperature exceeds 37.5°C (risk of hyperthermia). Always replace the spa cover after use and reset the heating to 37.5°C.
No, parties, festive gatherings and stag or hen parties are strictly prohibited at the chalet. The chalet is located in a quiet residential area and we ask our guests to respect the neighbourhood's tranquillity.
Tourist Tax
The tourist tax is approximately €1/adult/night (children are exempt). A secure payment link will be sent before your arrival. Simply adjust the number of guests and proceed with online payment before your stay.
Skiing & Slope Access
Yes, the slopes are approximately 300 m on foot from the chalet. A free shuttle also runs 30 m from the chalet for those who prefer not to carry their skis.
The nearest chairlift is Les Choseaux. You can also take the free shuttle (stop 30 m from the chalet) to reach the ski lifts.

Practical & Access
Yes, in winter, it is strongly recommended to equip your vehicle with snow tyres or to have chains in your boot. Under French mountain law, this is mandatory from November to March for driving in mountain areas. The access road to Saint-Sorlin d'Arves can be snowy, especially in the evening.
Saint-Sorlin d'Arves has essential shops: bakery, butcher, grocery, pharmacy, restaurants. The nearest shops are at the top of the village, approximately 200 m from the chalet.
Standard times are: check-in from 5 pm, check-out before 10 am. These slots are necessary to allow cleaning and preparation of the chalet between stays. If you have a special need, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you subject to availability.
Yes, the Sherpa in the village centre offers a delivery service. Contact them directly to arrange your delivery.
Children & Safety
The chalet has 2 travel cots with mattresses and high chairs. However, as with any multi-level mountain chalet (triplex), it has stairs. We recommend staying vigilant with toddlers, especially near the stairs and the spa. A stair gate is available for the upper living room.
